Hand-made sketches and designs

Welcome our new guest author, Tushar Goel. He rightly proves that “design” doesn’t always mean digital. His skill with sketch-pens, paint-brushes and markers is definitely worth a dekko!! He is highly skilled in re-creating cartoon characters and making abstract designs. Great way to pass time during those boring lectures in college!
Rain Rain, Come My Way

A very simple wallpaper representing rain by falling arrows. Inspired by the fact that I haven’t made a wallpaper in Photoshop in over 2 months, and also the unbearable heat here in Delhi. Read more
Wake Up Dude!
![]()
A wallpaper based on the posters of the movie “Wake Up Sid!”. The 3D effect of the text is notoriously easy to achieve. Since this design is shown only in the promo videos and trailers, there are no wallpapers of this design out there. And “dude” is more general than “Sid”, so there you go.

Study:
The design is roughly vector based, though I implemented it in Photoshop, and not in Illustrator. Also, the color-scheme is very close to the print colors (it is a movie poster after all). i.e CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, blacK)
The movie poster actually says “Wake up S!d”. It uses an exclamation (!) in place of an “i”.
The movie stars Ranbir Kapoor and Konkana Sen. It is about a guy who is very laidback and lazy in his life. (much like me!)
